With the acclaim of pop culture and the influence it has in today's media and society, rocking streetwear is in popular demand. Cut off shirts and shorts, T-shirts with homemade slogans, fitted caps with spikes, diamonds, glitter and many more fads are the norm for the 35 and under crowd.
The Venue Trade show held their first event Friday at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The organizers sole mission is to cater to independent streetwear and lifestyle brands providing entrepreneurs an affordable, comfortable and professional setting to showcase their threads. The show is unlike any other delivering a different perspective in fashion. Walking into the environment had a laid back, positive atmosphere with a "house party" vibe. Sounds of Hip Hop classics filled the room while some folks smoked ecigs. One vendor offered haircuts to please their customers.
The show had a great turnout with many vendors from all over the country coming to support. Los Angeles vendors Lion Envy, Above Royalty, INV8R, Hometown Kings, ELAY and Hip Hop recording artist Soldier Boy's company BLVD Supply represented for the city. Several out of state companies such as FLY Definition (New York), ENELLI Clothing (Texas), Rotio Inc. (Chicago) traveled many miles to be a part of this streetwear revolution.
