Hip Hop artist Mos Def, also known as Yassin Bey was scheduled to go on tour this month, with his first performance at the Boston Festival.
According to a story posted on the Source, the festival released an official statement in regards to the matter:
We regret to inform you that due to immigration / legal issues Yasiin Bey is unable to enter back into the United States and his upcoming U.S. tour has been canceled, including May 15th, Together Boston’s show at The Wilbur Theatre. Individual ticket refunds for this show are available at point of sale.
Could Mos immigration status have anything to do with him converting to the Muslim religion? Currently, nothing has been updated about the matter, but, we do know Yassin Bey definitely will not be touring anytime soon.
