The Lifetime channel released Friday, October 2, the first film ever made on beloved r&b artist Aaliyah.
The film's title, 'The Princess of R&B' suits the project and what most of us thought of the famed singer, who died to soon in a plane crash in 2001.
For most of Aaliyah's successful career she worked with Timbaland and R Kelly. Rumors spread that Aaliyah would be changing labels, working with Dame Dash and Jay Z at Roc-A-Fella Records right before she died. Also, according to Urban Daily, Aaliyah had been seeing Jay and Dame at the same time and tension has grown between the two every since.
