NPR radio co-host of 'Car Talk," Tom Magliozzi died Monday in Belmont, Massachusetts. According to due to Alheimer's complications. Tom was 77 years old.
Tom and his brother were college graduates that went in to auto mechanics and engineering with no intention of ever entering the broadcasting business. In 1987 the Magliozzi brother's received their big break with NPR radio hosting their auto repair help from mechanics show. Car Talk was a success and Tom received a Peabody award in 1992 and stayed on air for 25 years.
Tom was also the voice of the "Rusteez" company owner who discovered Lighting McQueen in the Pixar and Disney film "Cars."
